My love affair with all things Coastal New England started back in the dark ages, aka mid-1970s, when I owned two brick and mortar stores called Country Peddler. Back then I took my first trip to New England to shop the Brimfield Antique Show. Following a week of walking through fields and picking lots of goodies for the shops we ventured over to Cape Cod and on to Maine where we stayed at The Captain Lord Mansion. I was immediately smitten with the history, the ambience and the people we came across. in that, then, tiny little community. We went on to venture up and down the coast. Fast forward to the 90s, I found myself living in NYC, just a stone's throw from Cape Cod, so I visited friends frequently during my ten year stint. Now, living back on the west coast, my love of all things New England still rings true. My penchant comes to life in the latest collection -- inspired by patterns I love with names from several of my favorite towns. There is something so heartwarming and peaceful about these designs...it's my hope that you, along with me, gather their energy each and every day.
